Are you sure that you would go to heaven if you were to die tonight?

Dear friend, we are living in a world filled with countless ideologies. Often we are confused when it comes to the matters of afterlife and eternity. But, praise God, He gave us His precious Word to understand His will for us concerning the matters of life, death, and eternity. Let us see what God wants you to do in this world.

First of all, the Bible says, “For there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3: 22, 23). No matter, who we are, regardless of our place, origin, identify, gender, religion, ethnicity, education, we are all equal in the sight of God that we came short of His divine standards. Sin has maligned humanity that we see its consequences every day in our home, in our streets, on the news from around the world. Sin is defined as the transgression of the law of God. Just like there are penalties for breaking human laws, there are penalties for breaking the laws of God. That penalty is hell. A day is coming when we stand before God to give an account of our lives in this world and receive the just punishment to our violations of God’s laws.                  

Is man doomed to hell? Is there any way to escape from this predicament? Yes, there is. That is the Good news of our Lord Jesus Christ. He came to this world to save the sinners from the eternal punishment of hell. Why? The Bible says, ‘But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us’ (Romans 5:8). God so loved us that He never intended us to go to hell. He took so much pain to save us by sacrificing His Son on the cross for your sins and my sins.

Many religions like Judaism and Islam teaches about the final Day of Judgment of God but they do not offer a Savior who can give us a second chance before God. Lord Jesus Christ offered Himself for your sins and my sins. He paid the penalty of our sins perfectly that today, God promises us if we trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord He wants to forgive us of all our sins and offer us the free gift of eternal life in heaven after death. He says, ‘That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ( Romans 10: 9)

Remember life is short in this world. You may step into eternity in any given moment without notice. That is why God says, ‘TODAY is the day of salvation’. Dear friend, I request you to come to Christ today, accept Him as your Savior, invite Him into your heart to start an exciting journey of life of faith with Jesus as your partner in all circumstances of your life.

Pray this simple prayer and invite Him into your heart if you make a decision to accept Christ as your personal Savior.

“Dear Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and is under the just punishment of God for my sins. But, I rejoice that you went to the cross on my behalf to pay the penalty of my sins. I thank you for being my Substitute and invite you to be my Savior from my sins and the guide for my life. Amen”.

When you trust Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you can be confident that you go to heaven when you die. Because, that is what God promised, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6: 23). A gift is a free offer and when God gives the gift you can be sure that you will retain it forever.
